A Look back…2024 Fall Conference
MLA President, Frank D'Annunzio, kicked off the Fall Conference in style by sabering open a bottle of champagne at the opening dinner. The art of sabrage is the signature ceremony of the St. Regis, where the October conference was held in Park City, Utah. Will this also become an MLA tradition??
Friday morning's presentation was led by Michael Feuz, Economist and Senior Consulting Speaker, ITR Economics who discussed consumer spending, inflation, interest rates, the labor market, and key leading indicators which prepared attendees for an upswing in the business cycle post 2024. Feuz will be back to present to MLA in 2026 on the challenges of the next decade.
Saturday morning, Tom Foster, Vistage Chair and CEO of Foster Learning, was back for a second time to present a workshop that reviewed key concepts of accountability and authority, organizational structure, testing for individual capability, and leverage of executive time.
On Saturday evening, attendees were off to Highstar Ranch, a 1100-acre property with gorgeous views of the Wasatch Mountains, farm pastures and ponds.
The weather was amazing and attendees spent the cocktail hour networking and engaging in archery, air rifle target shooting, cornhole and a special Meet and Greet with Apollo the Wolf!
A few die hard fans may have even found their way to watching the back and forth nail biting football battle between Oregon and Ohio State.
